The Basics

This is perhaps my favorite stage because it involves PLANNING! As a Virgo, it is my nature to plan everything, to the fullest extent possible, much to the dismay of most people around me.

We define planning as the process by which we identify what, generally speaking, the house needs to do for us. We also include in the planning stage a wish list of sorts. We then begin to whittle this down to something that is feasible. There is inevitable some back and forth between the planning and the design.

For this project we started by creating a list of things we would like to have in the new house, and tried to differentiate between want and need.
